Experience the climate grass roots and the green areas
Experience the climate grass roots and the green areas of Copenhagen NV
Saturday the 12th of October, 10:00–14:00
Format: Guided tour with bus and a bit of walking
Join us for a tour to some of the hidden nature treasures of Copenhagen e.g. the nature and bird reserve of Utterslev mose located only 5 km. from the city center. You will learn about local climate solutions and the work with the UN sustainability goals from the grass roots involved in local-based organizations: The Copenhagen School Gardens, a sheep and cow graze guild and a community garden. All these organizations are driven by the engagement of local citizens with support from the Copenhagen Municipality. Each of the projects present different solutions and ways of promoting knowledge for sustainable living, biodiversity and citizen involvement.
The tour takes approximately 4 hours and involve site visits, short presentations and an opportunity to ask questions. We provide a simple lunch during the tour. Bring comfortable shoes as there will be a bit of walking between some of the stops.
Pick up spot: Tivoli at H.C. Andersens Boulevard (opposite the town house). A bus will drive the participants to the locations in NV and return to Tivoli afterwards. Look for a white bus with red/black logo, Solibus.
