A Maker Meet Up on Cities and Circular Economy
Re-Make the City: A Maker Meet Up on Cities and Circular Economy
Friday 11th October 18:00-20:00
Format: Talks and debate
How can cities become zero-waste organisms that turn every piece of waste into new valuable material?
Join us at this Maker Meet Up on how to create circular zero-waste cities when we look into the challenges and potentials in existing and future solutions in Copenhagen and around Europe, and discuss how we, from city level to single household, are part of the waste reuse and recycling in our city.
We will present speakers working with circular economy, waste management and innovation, inspiring initiatives, and host an open discussion on how to design a city for circular economy.
This is a unique chance to meet and learn from inspiring people and frontrunners of circular economy and a move towards Copenhagen as a Fab City.
This maker meet up is moderated by Julie Hjort from Dansk Design Centre and part of the Fab City Foundation.
We proudly present the following speakers:
- Kate Armstrong (Fab City Global Initiative & IAAC > Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia)
- Øystein Leonardsen (Områdefornyelse Sydhavnen)
- Martin Tilsted (City of Copenhagen)
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under grant agreement No. 788217
This project is supported by Realdania
