How Do We Transform Urban Mobility for Low-Carbon Cities?
Friday 11th October 14:00-16:00
Ensuring high air quality in cities, requires an action plan. A new study by Navigant assesses the technological transformation that needs to happen
for cities to get on a 1.5°C pathway.
A rapid, large-scale electrification of land and sea transport is key.
We invite you for a Masterclass where key findings from the Navigant study are presented, to initiate the discussion on how cities can become more sustainable and livable. Particularly, we will look at solutions within electrification of transport and how using synergies between the different sectors of the urban energy system can help improve air quality. Selected city officials will share experiences and best-practices that currently help fight urban pollution.
Together, we will debate how to accelerate the electric transport revolution and discuss key policy actions needed to achieve a 1.5°C scenario.
