CLIMATE – Change for a sustainable future / Design Architecture and Conservation
Wednesday 9th to Saturday 12th October 11:00-18:00
KADK’s exhibition CLIMATE – Change for a sustainable future – will showcase solutions in architecture, design and conservation. As architects and designers, we are part of the problem, so we must also be part of the solution. One third of the globe’s consumption of energy, resources and waste management comes from building and subsequent operations. There is a need to develop new strategies for a complex reality in our fields of expertise, for how we use resources and materials more climate friendly and adapted to circular thinking and economics. Architects and designers possess precisely the professionally creative and innovative competencies needed to create new products, solutions and strategies that can drive positive development, locally as well as globally.
The exhibition will show objects, models, constructions where problems and solutions to climate change or their consequences are elucidated or interpreted and show new thinking on how architecture, design and conservation can help solve the challenges in Denmark and the rest of the world.
