Next Generation Food Makers Space

Next Generation Food Makers Space – Problem based? Science based? Digitally based? – sustainable learning strategies to address 21st century food systems challenges

Format: Workshop

Young people is an important source of food systems rethinking. In the workshop we invite pupils to contribute with design and creativity thinking in developing learning strategies and ideas for products and services. All edible of course. And all with a science and digital touch. Its all about developing 21st century skills and learn to deliver on some of societies urgent challenges – for instance in the food and bio economy sector. Meet us and see how have a talk with the young people in the lab and see & try out some of the smart learning stations that they have been doing as rapid prototypes. Four stations will be on display:

  1. Robofood observatory
  2. Man or machine workshop
  3. Smart Urban Food Lab
  4. Kålchi & Kimchi lab

The Next Generation Foodmakers Space a learning space and green house test bed for developing edible learning strategies for school environments. It is a cooperation between Aalborg University Digital Foodscape Labs, Klima Zirkus, Studie 17, DataScienceHouse, the schools of Dansborg, Herstedlund and Kokkedal and is aimed at developing smart solutions to current food challenges with a direct link to the 17 sustainable development goals.
