Wild Copenhagen – Uncovering Urban Biodiversity

Fredag 11th October 15:00-22:00

Format: workshop and event

Nature is everywhere. In cities still more species fight to find suitable places to live, even in the most astonishing places. Sustainable cities of the future must make room for both humans and nature. To make the best conditions for urban biodiversity, we first need to know the species we already live with.

What insects live in your window sill? Do wild plants thrive in your backyard? What birds breed in your local park? Maybe there is an entirely new species waiting to be discovered just outside your door step?

To find these answers, we need everybody to start looking.

With scientific experts, we will put urban biodiversity in focus. Join us when we; hunt for biodiversity in the neighborhood, do scientific descriptions of species, or bring your own collected organism, to build up or common knowledge of Wild Copenhagen.
