Youth takeover: “How can cities pave the way for a sustainable generation?”
Thursday, October 10th 9:00 – 15.00. We will be serving lunch.
Format: Roundtable dialogue and idea development
Young people from across the globe meet at the Youth Summit on Thursday, October 10th at the City Hall. The young participants will develop ideas and proposals on preselected themes. For instance, how to further the understanding of the climate crisis among youth, how future workplaces can ensure opportunities for careers within sustainability, and how the youth climate strike movement can contribute with solutions for city councils to tackle climate change. The city delegates will partake in the dialogs from a city perspective. The best ideas will be shared with the C40 World Mayors’ Summit attendees.
The Youth Summit will be developed and executed by young Climate Ambassadors, the Youth Council, and the Joint Public School Council from the City of Copenhagen. Central partners include Next Generation City Action (by DTU Skylab), Copenhagen University, Denmark’s green think tank CONCITO, Friday for Future, Planfonden and C40.
